Development Services system upgrade
From Monday 4 March 2024, we’re using a new system to respond to some application types.
The application types that will receive responses from the new system are:
- all Build Over Easement (BOE) Applications.
- any application where your planned work is close to our infrastructure or is in our easement.
The changes to the application responses are:
- New email address - Our new responses will be sent from [email protected]. You may need to check your junk folder and if our emailed response is there, move it to your inbox so it’s not considered junk or spam.
- Additional ID number - You’ll be provided with an additional Application ID number from the new system. It’s 2-digits longer than the number provided when you submitted the application in easyACCESS. You can use either number to contact us.
- No Sewer, Depth and Offset (SDO) plans - SDO plans are no longer provided in our BOE application responses. Instead, our email will provide a link to the Yarra Valley Water Asset Map tool where you can search for a property and find the location of our sewer assets and easements.
- Redesigned application outcome document - The email and attached application outcome document have an updated look. The new application outcome document is shorter and the key information is clearly presented. This includes if your application was approved and what conditions you must meet.

If your application is not a Build Over Easement Application or an application with plans that are close to our infrastructure or in an easement, our application response will continue to be sent from our easyACCESS system at: [email protected].
No change to the application process
There are no changes to how you submit your application with us. You’ll still complete your application using our easyACCESS Online portal via the Login button at the top of the screen.
