Commercial property owner

The property owner is responsible for the water and sewerage system and usage charges, except for trade waste.

As a commercial property owner, you are responsible for all water and sewerage charges incurred at the property, even if you lease out your property to a tenant. This is stipulated in the Water Act 1989. 

If you’ve purchased a commercial property, you don't need to contact us to set up a new account. This will be handled as part of the settlement process.

And please note: water always remains connected. Water is not turned off when a property changes hands.
