Rankin Street sewerage project

We’ve built 2 new sewer mains and are finalising work to upgrade the Mandalay sewer pump station to improve the sewer network in Beveridge.

We started work in March 2023 and have  completed constructing the sewer mains. We are continuing our work to upgrade the existing Mandalay sewer pump station.

This work is being completed by our project partner, MFJ Constructions.

These new sewer mains are:

  • From Lewis Street to the Mandalay sewer pump station, behind properties along Mandalay Circuit and Palladium Circle. This 1,500 m long pipeline was micro-tunnelled with shafts every 100 m.
  • From Patterson Road to the Lockerbie Main Sewer, east of the Melbourne/Sydney rail line along Rankin Street Beveridge. This pipeline, approximately 3,300 m long, was constructed using a combination of open cut trenching and horizontal directional drilling.
